Umlaut Games is a new Game Studio hailing from Zürich, Switzerland. It was founded in 2023 two friends, Dominik Würsch and Moritz Göldi. We are passionate about creating games with unique mechanics and bringing never before seen experiences to gamers world wide. Umlaut Games is also part of the Swiss Game Hub, a Zürich based Incubator for new Game Studios.
Dominik and Moritz studied game design at the ZhdK together and after finishing their bachelor in 2018 kept making games together. And whilst their first project (Leyline) was plagued with difficulties – as it was an experimental project based on Unity’s ECS which later got discontinued, the second project LIMBS was recieved much better and promted them to found their company in August 2023.
Umlaut Games then also got joined by Dylan Dreja, a musician that is producing the soundscapes for Limbs. Limbs released to Steam on the 31st of Octobre 2024.
