Tàrraco

Tàrraco is a video game project that began in adolescence as part of a school assignment, inspired by the Roman city of Tarraco, now Tarragona. Originally developed in Visual Basic 6 with DirectX 8, the game incorporates advanced graphics techniques for the time, such as lightmapping and various visual effects.

The project uses the ColDet library for collision management and Cal3D for skeletal animation. An attempt was made to port it to C++ with DirectX 9, but this was abandoned due to the code not being mature enough and the developer's interests changing. The source code and original project documentation, in the form of a school report written in Catalan, are now publicly available.
