Even eternity can be deadly boring. The gods of the pantheon tasked Hades to find them a distraction. Unenthusiastic about his assignment, the King of the Underworld simply gathered what was lying around his realm: four old astragals and a piece of parchment to scribble down some rules. Thus was born Astragalos, the very first game of knucklebones.
